Service Dogs: Enhancing Lives, One Handler At A Time

Imagine having a loyal companion by your side, trained to assist you with everyday tasks and empower you to live life to the fullest. A service dog isn't a pet - it's a highly trained partner that provides invaluable support to individuals with disabilities. Trained to perform specific tasks, service dogs are essential to helping their handlers navigate the world with confidence and independence. By providing assistance with a handlers disability a service dog can greatly enhance their quality of life promoting confidence, and a sense of freedom.
At Maximillion Dog Training, we specialize in training highly skilled service dogs to support individuals with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and mobility impairments. These specially trained canines are equipped to provide critical assistance including alerting their handlers to potential triggers or episodes, retrieving essential items such as medication, fetching dropped items, offering vital mobility support to enhance independence and more. We do not currently train guide dogs or provide scent work of any kind.
(Please note: dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the Americans With Disabilities)
What To Expect When You Apply For A Service Dog With Maximillion Dog Training:

When you apply for a service dog through our program, you can expect a supportive experience. Our team is dedicated to guiding you through every step of the process from application to graduation, as you train your very own service dog. Whether you have a dog under a year that you would like to train as a service dog or need guidance on selecting the perfect puppy, our program is designed to work with you. We believe in empowering owners to take an active role in their service dog's training, which is why our program focuses on teaching you the skills and techniques necessary to develop a strong bond with your dog. Either the dog you currently own (that has completed our assessment and is suitable for service dog work) or the puppy you select through our guidance will remain in your care throughout the entire training process. Additionally, we only accept dogs under the age of 12 months into our program.

Financial Commitment:
Understanding the financial investment required for service dog training is essential. While we strive to provide competitive pricing, the cost of training a service dog is tailored to the specific needs of each individual taking into account the type of disability, the tasks the dog needs to be trained for, and other factors. As a result pricing varies depending on the unique requirements of each client. Service dog training is a more extensive, detailed, and specialized process than pet training, which reflects in the cost. We offer 6 to 8 month payment plans and provide fundraising ideas to help make our program more accessible to those who need it.
