Any of our private training services below can be tailored to fit your needs with a range of location options: our studio in Oakland, within the comfort of your home, or online via video. We also offer real-world training in distracting environments like parks and pet-friendly stores to help reinforce new skills in your dog's everyday life.

Three-Level Obedience Programs:
Level One: Beginner Obedience & Foundations
In this foundational program, you will learn effective communication techniques to teach your dog essential skills including sit, lay down, stay, leave it, reliable recall, potty training if needed, leash manners, confidence building, mental stimulation, and more. This program is designed to lay the groundwork for a strong foundation, teaching the fundamental skills your dog needs to succeed. By the end of this program, you will have the tools and knowledge to help your dog become a happy, confident, and loving companion. ​

Level Two: Intermediate Obedience
In this second-level program, we will build on the foundational skills your dog has learned, refining and strengthening their skills. We will focus on enhancing skills such as leash manners, reliable recall, leave it, confidence building, and more while introducing new skills like polite greeting of guests, sending your dog to a designated "place" (such as a bed or mat), and the command "between" or "center" to instruct your dog to position itself between your legs. Continued confidence building exercises will continued to be incorporated to help your dog grow to take on new challenges. By the end of this program, your communication will be further improved resulting in a more rewarding relationship with your dog who wants to listen to you. ​​

Level Three: Advanced Obedience
Take your dog's training to the highest level with our Advanced Obedience program! In this challenging and rewarding program, we will take training to the next step by simulating real-life situations such as vet visits and grooming sessions so your dog will know what to expect and remain calm in these environments. We will focus on enhancing obedience, building confidence, and refining your dog's skills in distracting environments. Your dog will also learn new skills including "drop it" to teach your dog to release items on command, emergency stops to recall your dog from a distance, and polite greeting at the door to reduce jumping. By the end of this program, you will have the ultimate connection with your dog and you will have completed the final level of our obedience training program.

Any of these programs through private one-on-one training sessions can be scheduled at your convenience during our hours of operation. You can choose one, two, or all three of these programs to book tailoring your dog's needs and your goals. We recommend booking these one-hour sessions once a week for optimal progress, but we are happy to accommodate to your unique scheduling needs with flexible scheduling options. To secure your appointments, a deposit is required at the time of booking. This ensure that we can dedicate our time and attention to your training sessions. For dogs with reactivity or aggression this would require a prior behavioral evaluation to determine the best approach as additional support may be required, and pricing may vary.

Mini Programs:
Crate Training Program
In this program, our expert trainers will guide you and your furry friend through a fun and stress-free crate training journey. We will teach you how to introduce the crate in a positive way that's fun and stress-free for your dog, management to prevent anxiety and separation issues, how to crate train in just a few short weeks, and tricks to make the crate a cozy den that your dog will love. Our goal is to make crate training a positive experience for both you and your dog so by the end of our program your dog will see their crate as a happy retreat, not a confinement.

Leash Manners Program
Take the stress out of walks and enjoy quality time with your dog! This program is designed to help you achieve loose-leash walking with ease, teaching your dog to walk by your side and respond to cues while ignoring distractions. With our guidance, you will master the art of walking together in harmony and your dog will learn to heel on command. By joining this program, you will enjoy stress-free walks, improved communication, and a stronger bond with your dog built on trust.

Polite Greeting Program
This fun and engaging program teaches your dog the skills they need to greet guests politely and calmly, even in exciting situations. You will learn how to teach your dog to properly greet guests, handle door scenarios with ease, and calmly go to their designated "place" bed when needed. Through engaging and targeted training exercises, your dog will develop self-control and attention needed to stay calm in the presence of others. With these essential skills, you will enjoy more relaxed gatherings that everyone looks forward to!

Counter Surfing Program
Your dog's counter surfing days are over with this program! Our trainers will work with you to teach your dog to develop the skills to resist the temptation of food and other off-limit items on surfaces. Through a combination of obedience skills, and impulse control exercises you will learn effective strategies to achieve a peaceful kitchen environment where you can cook without worrying about your dog's sneaky paws. By joining this program you both will benefit from reduced stress, a safer home environment, and a deeper understanding of communication.

In addition to our private training sessions, we also offer group classes during the spring and summer months (late April to early September). Each group class is uniquely designed to focus on specific skills and topics, providing a fun and engaging way to train with your dog. Our group class schedule for the upcoming season in 2026 isn’t ready yet, but don’t worry! Keep an eye on our website in January or follow us on Facebook. We will let you know as soon as we have the dates for the group classes.
